4 Days Tour from Marrakech to Fes via Merzouga Desert

Your adventure begins in the morning when your driver picks you up from your hotel or riad in Marrakech. You will drive through the High Atlas Mountains and cross a mountain road called Tizi n’Tichka Pass. This road has many beautiful views and small villages. After that, you will stop to visit Ait Ben Haddou. It is a very old village made of clay and stones. Many famous movies were filmed here, like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. You can walk around and take photos. Then you will continue to Ouarzazate, also known as the “Hollywood of Morocco.” After visiting, you will drive through the Valley of Roses and arrive at Dades Valley, where you will have dinner and spend the night in a hotel or guesthouse.

After breakfast, you will continue your trip and visit the Dades Valley. The rocks and mountains here look amazing, and there are many places to take photos. Then you will drive to Todra Gorges, a beautiful canyon with tall red rocks and a small river. People like to walk here and enjoy the fresh air. In the afternoon, you will arrive in Merzouga, near the big sand dunes of the Sahara Desert. Here, you will meet your camel guide who will take you on a camel ride through the dunes. The sunset is very beautiful, and you can take many nice pictures. After the camel ride, you will arrive at the desert camp where you will sleep in a tent. You will have dinner, listen to Berber music around the fire, and enjoy the stars in the sky.

You will wake up early to see the sunrise over the dunes, which is one of the most beautiful moments in the desert. After breakfast, you will ride your camel back or take a 4x4 car to Merzouga. Then you will visit the town of Rissani, known for its traditional souk (market). After that, you will pass through the Ziz Valley, which has many palm trees and a river. You will stop to enjoy the views and take some photos. Later, you will continue to Midelt, a small city in the Middle Atlas Mountains. It is a quiet place where you will rest and have dinner in a hotel.

After breakfast, your trip continues through the Atlas Mountains. You will pass by green forests and hills. You will stop in the cedar forest near Azrou, where you can see monkeys living in the trees. Then you visit Ifrane, a clean and quiet town with buildings that look like houses in Europe. People call it the “Switzerland of Morocco.” After lunch, you will continue driving to Fes.
