4 Days Tour from Fes to Marrakech

After breakfast, the driver will pick you up from your hotel in Fes. You will leave the busy city and drive to the south. Your first stop is Ifrane, a clean town with nice houses and gardens. People call it the “Switzerland of Morocco” because it looks like Europe. After Ifrane, you will go to the Cedar Forest near Azrou, where you can see wild monkeys living in the trees. You can take pictures and feed them if you like.

Then, you continue through the Middle Atlas Mountains, enjoying beautiful views of nature and small Berber towns. You will stop in Midelt, a calm place known for apples. You can have lunch here and rest before going on. After lunch, you will drive through the Ziz Valley, a long green valley full of palm trees and old villages. It is a very good place to take photos.

Later, you will arrive in Merzouga, the gate to the Sahara Desert. There, you will ride a camel to cross the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. The camel ride is about 1 hour and very peaceful, especially during the sunset. When you arrive at the desert camp, you will enjoy dinner, listen to Berber drums, and look at the stars. You will sleep in a private tent in the heart of the desert.

You will wake up early to see the sunrise in the desert. This is a very special moment with beautiful colors in the sky. After breakfast, you will start a 4x4 desert tour around Merzouga. First, you visit Khamlia village, where people from Mali live. You will listen to their Gnawa music and drink tea with them.

Then, you will go to visit a nomad family living in tents. They will show you their simple life and offer you tea. After that, you will visit M’fis mines, where people used to look for iron and other stones. You will also see a dry lake called Dayet Srij, where flamingos come when there is water. At lunch, you will eat Berber pizza in a local house or at a small restaurant.

In the afternoon, you can relax at the hotel or ride camels again if you want. You will enjoy another night in the desert with traditional food, music, and stars. You will sleep again in your tent or in a hotel, depending on what you prefer.

After breakfast and a shower at the camp or hotel, you will leave the desert and drive to the Todra Gorge, one of the most beautiful places in the mountains. On the way, you will pass through Rissani, where you can visit a traditional market. It is an old and busy place where people sell animals, fruits, clothes, and spices. Then, you drive to Tinghir, a town near the mountains.

After lunch, you will arrive at the Todra Gorge, which is a deep canyon with high red rock walls. Many people like to walk there and take photos. It is fresh and beautiful. Later, you will drive through the Dades Valley, a long green valley with many old Kasbahs and villages. You will stop to see the famous "monkey fingers" rocks and enjoy the views of the mountains.

You will spend the night in a nice hotel in Dades Valley. The hotel will give you dinner and breakfast. You can relax, enjoy the views, and talk with the local people.

After breakfast, you leave the Dades Valley and drive to Ouarzazate, a city called the "Hollywood of Morocco" because many movies were filmed there. You will pass by the Roses Valley and Skoura Oasis, where people grow roses, fruits, and olives. In Ouarzazate, you can see the outside of the Kasbah Taourirt or visit the cinema museum.

Next, you go to Ait Ben Haddou, a very old and famous village. It is a UNESCO site and many films like Gladiator and Game of Thrones were filmed there. You will walk inside the village and take pictures of the mud houses. Then, you will drive through the High Atlas Mountains, with big roads and beautiful views. You will stop many times to enjoy the nature and rest.

Finally, you arrive in Marrakech in the evening. The driver will take you to your hotel or riad. Your tour ends with great memories of the desert, mountains, and Moroccan life.
