2 Days Marrakech to Zagora Desert Trip is a guided tour that takes visitors from the bustling city of Marrakech to the vast desert landscape of Zagora. Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Draa Valley – Zagora:
Connect with our driver at your hotel or at Marrakech Airport. From there, you will take a scenic drive into the High Atlas Mountains at a summit of 2,260m (Tizi n Tichka). We will stop to take striking photos throughout the valleys along with visiting a number of fascinating Berber Villages where you will have a chance to make some contact with the local inhabitants. We will stop to visit the Kasbah of Air Benhaddou, a UNESCO-protected world heritage site, and familiarize ourselves with one of the sets where the Game of Thrones was filmed. Nearby, we will stop for lunch at the North African Hollywood film capital, Ouarzazate, and then drive 200km into the Draa Valley town of Zagora. After arriving at our destination, we will set off by camel for an hour-long trek on the desert dunes and have the opportunity to enjoy the exquisite sunset over the area. Subsequently, we will spend the night in an authentic Berber nomad tent and will be served specially made fresh food while enjoying the locals playing tribal drum melodies.
Day 2: Zagora – Agdez – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech:
We wake up to experience the unforgettable sunrise over the desert and then ride a camel or drive in our motor vehicle back to Zagora. From town, we will drive through the Draa Valley, visit Agdez, and continue to Ouarzazate where you will have the chance to enjoy lunch along with visit the local Cinema Studios. In the afternoon, we continue the drive back to Marrakech via the High Atlas Mountains and will reach town sometime after 6:00 pm
